Back in the Day

Do you remember a time when if you worked for a lazy, ungrateful moron you could just quit because you were only working that job for some extra cash?

Being an adult really sucks somtimes! It seems that the people who work the hardest are always on the bottom, and they are working for people who do nothing. I guess in America the less work you do, the more you get promoted. Yet, these "skaters" will still reprimend the people who follow their lead. The boss can show up to work late, but no one else. The boss can clock hours that they never worked, but no one else. The boss can falsify the amount of vacation/sick time they took, but everyone else better keep damn good track of their hours. It just makes me sick!!!

So, my plea to anyone who reads this who may be in some sort of administrative position...
Do not employ the old adage: Do as I say, not as I do. This does not result in a happy workplace or a positive team environment. It will only make your employees resent you and pray that someone above your head will see what is going on. A manager is only as good as the people working beneath them. Do not expect a level of work higher than what you yourself are willing to give.
