How Do You Explain?

How is your husband (or any man for that matter) supposed to fully understand the extent of your pregnancy symptoms? The nausea, the hunger pains, the moodiness, the irrationality...

Ironically enough, these symptoms should slowly begin to subside during the second trimester (when you begin to show). Finally, when your mate can actually physically see that there is another life growing inside you and can begin to understand what is going on, all of the horrible things you have been going through begin to fade. How fair is that???

Meanwhile, the past three months have been spent trying to explain why misplaced towels or a poopy litter box are enough to drive you to tears because you are so frustrated. You don't want to prepare any food, you don't want to go shopping, you don't want to do laundry or any of the chores you normally do. And the men think you're just "blaming" it on the pregnancy.

Fellas, a bit of advice... until you've gone through it, you have no reason to complain for picking up the slack. Believe me, I'm sure you don't expect to hear any "nagging" after sitting on the couch in your boxer shorts for months at a time. So, you finally have to clean a litter box or do a little laundry; it won't kill you! Try being the one that's wondering how they're going to squeeze a watermelon through a lemon, then you'll have a right to complain!

AMEN!!!!! Tell Dan to take his bottom lip. Now, very gently, have him yank it up OVER the top of his head, then down the other side! Yeah, that's about right!
