Making Progress

Well, the last time that Dan and I went to see the progress on our house, there was not much to see. We were getting worried because it had been a month and they only had the footer dug, but as of 2 weeks ago still had not poured the foundation. (FYI -- some odd cement shortage in the states, turns out we've been importing limestone from China to keep up with the building going on over here.)

So, yesterday Dan had to take a trip out to Suprise to sign another piece of paperwork deleting the crappy fridge they tried to get us to buy, and while doing this he also drove by the property. Turns out now, the whole wood frame is up. All of the windows are in place along with the sliding glass doors to the backyard. He said it seems really small when you look at it like a skeleton. He walked through the property and gave the thumbs-up. It looks like we should be following schedule and be in the house by early December. We just need to map out a more detailed timeframe with the paperwork and walk-throughs so it doesn't interfere with our trip home in November. We should know more, hopefully, by next month.

We're going to try to take a trip out there again this weekend, so I will probably have a picture for everyone to see!

P.S. On another note, our property value has already gone up over $16,000. And we haven't even moved in yet!!! I can't wait to see what it's worth in another 3 years when all of the development in Suprise is completed.
