Welcome to Week #18!

Okay..... ummmmm, getting just a little nervous now. That 20-week mark is just looming over me. The more Dan and I talk about it, the more excited we get, but there's still that dose of nervousness and worry that comes along with it. I guess I need to stop watch "A Baby Story" on TLC. :) Anyway, here's the weekly update again:

By the end of this week, the little will grow to nearly half a pound and 14 centimeters (5 1/2 inches) long. Pads are forming on the fingertips and toes, and the eyes are looking forward rather than out the sides of the head. Meconium, the baby's first bowel movement, is accumulating within the bowel. If the baby is a boy, his prostate gland is beginning to develop. Baby's limbs are lengthening, and at last, body length is catching up to head size. Bones are still malleable but are beginning to ossify.

I didn't realize that it takes 4-5 months for the baby to plan when it's going to crap for the first time! Geez!!! (S)he must be thinking about it really hard!
