Welcome to Week #24!

The fact that we're counting down now is starting to set in, no matter how unbelievable it is we are going to be parents. Here's the bean's life this week:

The baby gains about 6 ounces by the end of this week as the body begins to fill out. This weight is in muscle, bone mass and the growing organs and tissues. The weight could top 1 1/3 pounds by the end of the week. By the end of this week, the baby should measure around 21 centimeters crown-to-rump. Rapid eye movement will also begin.

It's funny how all of the major development happens in the first few months and now it's just a matter of growing. I just have to make sure I keep all of that good nutrition flowing through and drop the bad fast food habits from the past couple of weeks.
